It's a bit frustrating to declare that acquiring Path of Exile on PlayStation 4 for this console users is held off, as Grinding Gear Games has determined to delay the release of the PS4 version of Path of Exile to mid-March instead of February as all players expected previously.
Grinding Gear Games, the developer of Path of Exile, initially announced the release of the game on PlayStation 4 in November 2018, where indicated the release date would have been settled in December 2018. Although soon after that the December plan has been aborted, the developer rescheduled the release for early February 2019, saying the PS4 version would be expected to go live by then. However, in the most recent update from Grinding Gear Games, the February plan seemed to be ruled out too.
According to the official Twitter announcement from GGG, we are aware that if all goes well, the PlayStation 4 version is expected to come out in mid-March, the game will be available for all PS4 users on this console by then.
In regard to the February release note, the tweet clarified that the announcement of a delay to February was nothing but an estimation, so technically the new release window isn't a postponement since no specific date was given in the February release estimation. Still, the PlayStation 4 players might not care less about the semantics of the announcement, as what really matters to them is only waiting another month to see the result this coin-flipping since no exact release date was given by the publisher either this time.
Grinding Gear’s wording from the first delay can be found below and listed only “early February” as a release window.
“When we announced Path of Exile for PlayStation 4 earlier this month, we indicated we were aiming for a December release,” Grinding Gear said. Unfortunately, we have had to revise this in early February. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience this causes because we know there are many players looking forward to this release.”
Path of Exile’s developer will have another announcement this month ahead of the March dates listed above, the first of which will come on February 19th.

Developer Grinding Gear Games announced today that it has locked down the dates surrounding Path of Exile’s upcoming, but currently unannounced, expansion.
The free-to-play ARPG’s next expansion will be announced in just a bit over a week, on Feb. 19. On PC, Grinding Gear Games expects it to drop on Mar. 8, followed by the Xbox One release on Mar. 11.
In PS4’s case, the situation is a bit trickier. Path of Exile was supposed to launch on PS4 back in December, with the release of the currently active Betrayal league, but ended up being delayed to early February.
While “early” February has almost passed, and no further details have since been given in regards to the PS4 launch, the developer said that mid-March is a likely release window for Path of Exile’s upcoming expansion on Sony’s console. The PlayStation Store also lists Path of Exile as a February release.
To anyone unaware, Path of Exile resets progress every time a new league is introduced, while replacing the last league’s mechanics with new ones altogether. Aside from the fresh start and refreshed economy that all players opting to play in leagues are subject to, they’ll also have to deal with new challenges in order to obtain those coveted items.
Path of Exile’s Betrayal league, which remains active until March, features a Shadow of Mordor-esque chain of command, where players murder and manipulate members of the Immortal Syndicate in order to discover the identity of its leader and gain all manner of shiny loot in the process.
Past leagues have included ground fractures that spawned monsters, or ventures through time in order to explore ancient temples. It’s also worth noting that some of the more popular past mechanics have since been integrated as stable parts of Path of Exile’s gameplay.

RuneScape devs team issued a patch note of tweaks and improvements they prepped up for Loot Sharing and Stone Spirits in the game, as a potent demonstration of perfectly performing its own New Year's resolutions in this phase.

MapleStory M, the free-to-play, massively multiplayer online mobile game for iOS and Android, has received a new content update that brings a multitude of new material for players, including three new explorer classes, improved equipment enhancement systems, and more.
Starting today, players can delve into Maple World using three new unique explorer characters. This includes the swift thief Shadowercharacter who deals close-combat damage with a dagger, the Hero warrior who uses “Two-Handed Sword” and “Two-Handed Axe” as main weapons for powerful blows to enemies, and the Arch Mage (Ice/Lightning), the flashiest Magician Class of Maple World who uses Ice and Lightning properties to annihilate enemies.
Players will also be able to enjoy Emblem Enhancement, a new equipment enhancement system, where Emblem Trace can be extracted from Elite items to make Emblem equipment more powerful. Last week some players who use Google third-party authentication (TPA) began experiencing issues logging in with Nexon Launcher. It appears that there were some changes on the Google side, which caused the login process to freeze when using Nexon Launcher. Logging into the Nexon website was not affected.
We’re still investigating a permanent solution to the core Google issue, that will allow players to log in to Nexon Launcher using Google TPA.
In order to provide players who use Google TPA with an alternate route to log in to Nexon Launcher, we released an update to the entire TPA system on Sunday, January 20. It’s difficult to go solo on dungeons in MapleStory 2, but it’s definitely doable regardless of your job. That, by all means, includes the Assassin. And we’re not just talking about Normal Mode dungeons here, mind you. This is a Hard Mode dungeon – we’re talking about Fire Dragon.
Gearing Up for the Kill
Before an assassin can take on a Hard Mode dungeon boss, you need to give it the proper build and gear first. For your gear, make sure to have the following stats for each kind. For weapons, prioritize Piercing and then have Physical Attack, Total Damage, and Physical Piercing. As for headgear, suit, top, and bottom. Make sure to have Boss Damage then Physical Attack. Gloves should also prioritize Boss Damage, but instead, choose Physical Piercing as secondary. Another one that should have Boss damage is shoes. And lastly, for your cape, belt, and earring or amulet, go with Piercing, and then Boss Damage or Critical Rate if you can’t find any.
These gear are worth a lot of MapleStory 2 Mesos, so be ready to dish them out.
As for builds, there are three you can choose from. From their names, you should be able to tell what their core skills are.
The first is the Lucky Stars, Star Chaser, and Star Flurry build. What sets this build apart is that it’s so efficient that you can use it even when you’re somewhat lacking in terms of gear. On the other hand, there is the Shadow Cutter build, which, unlike the former, doles out higher single-target damage. Its flaw, however, is that you can’t macro for it.
Last, but definitely not least, is the Assassin Mirror Image build. Other than the namesake skill, Shadow Burst and Soul Grind will be your core skills. Bear in mind that this is a high skill cap build, so be ready to truly play the best way you can.
Having discussed what you need to make an assassin who can singlehandedly kill the Fire Dragon, let’s move on to exactly how you’ll be able to take it down.
Before heading to the dungeon, there are two things you need to make sure of. First, that you bring a pet that does auto-potions so you can spend your time dealing damage instead of healing. Second, that your settings are lag-free. If a single millisecond of lag can cost you a run with a team, the same goes when you go solo.
As the raid begins, you’ll be able to find ledges. Use them to evade a good number of his attacks. Aside from a way to avoid getting damaged, stepping on the blue parts of the ledge removes the burn status effect.
You can also use the ledge when the Fire Dragon tries to hit you with his tail. But if that isn’t possible at the moment, you can either run or even grab onto him. If he fails to hit you with the tail, he’ll use a large-radius attack in three quick successions. Don’t you worry though; it’s quite easy to dodge them.
After that phase, he’ll start using his infamous rapid-fire breath attack, which he uses one after another. Once again, you can use the ledges to ensure you don’t get damaged. When he’s finally done, you can approach him again and resume attacking. When you do so, be careful with the leftover flames as they can be quite painful.
At the end of the first phase, he’ll be combining his regular attacks with breath attack and AOE stun attacks. It’s easy to not get hit by both, so no worries there! This is true even with the latter, as the Fire Dragon doesn’t follow up after that. Upon whittling his HP, he’ll use a one-shot laser attack. Thankfully, it’s telegraphed and therefore easy to dodge.
Finally, there’s the second part, which begins once his HP is down to 20 million. Aside from the fire breath and fireballs– which can’t be dodged, so be ready–he’ll do pretty much the same attacks. That should be easy enough for you since you know the rhythm now.
With the right gear, build, skills, and knowledge, the assassin can be alone dragon slayer.
