Talk About Continuing The Elder Scrolls Online Beyond 2020 With Tons Of Content

Posted:Oct 14 ,2019

Source: MMOAH

As early as 1994, the Elder Scrolls debuted with Arena to start the chapter, and it has been produced several mains games as their expansions and spin-offs. Until the year of 2014, a brand new installment of the Elder Scrolls series came out, which is Elder Scrolls Online we are currently playing. Since its first release on PC, it initially received mixed reviews, but the developer Bethesda has been working hard to make it a success by now. 2019 is nearing the end, and the fans are looking forward to the next movement to ESO. If you read our previous articles, you must have already learned about the next plan for Elder Scrolls VI from Bethesda after ESO coming to an end, but it is revealed that Bethesda will continue to develop ESO with ZeniMax through various expansions and content updates. Surely, we are looking forward to what's new as well as you.

Since ESO achieved great success in the past, as its creative director Rich Lambert himself said, developing an MMO like ESO requires a change-centric model, he also said that continuing to support and update the game with embracing the community is paramount to finding success.

Moreover, Lambert admitted that it is not the good time to stop ESO, while the developers are discussing to let ESO go on developing in good condition in 2020 and the upcoming few years. That being said, there is a long way for ESO to go.

Only one year after ESO launched, Bethesda and ZeniMax abolished the mandatory monthly subscription model, but after that, they never stopped to improve the in-game service, even the micro-transactions in ESO. For any MMOs, as long as it has players and is monetized, there is a reason for it to exist, which might be one of the reasons why we can still play ESO in the next several years.

Anyway, the developers are really creating a system where more players can be involved, not just to make money, which may be their motivation in 2020.

ESO has been with you for several years with much fun, especially for those 13 million registered users, and many in the game are also impressive. It is worth mentioning that the changed micro-transactions and optional subscription in it, which transitioned to a buy-to-play model for players. Beyond that, as the fixed currency in the game, ESO Gold also makes the whole game more possibilities since everyone wants to play better.

We can't predict too much about ESO's arrangements in2020, after all, its developers have not told too much to the public, but as a loyal fan for many years, I always expect it to re-emerge a new milestone like the update of ESO: Tamriel in 2016.
