Path of Exile Guide: Defeating the Hardest Endgame Bosses

Posted:Jan 26 ,2018

If you’ve been playing Path of Exile for some time, you might start seeking a real challenge. Mapping is fun, but before long it doesn’t present too many problems. Where are you able to go to try out your mettle? There are seven endgame bosses in Path of Exile who can take your confidence and smash it to pieces: The Shaper, his four guardians, Uber Atziri, and from now on the Elder.

Are you prepared to take on the most difficult content Path of Exile is offering? If so, we’ve created this Path of Exile boss guide, so that you can begin working towards you through the seven endgame bosses.

The Shaper’s Guardians

Shaper’s Guardians are normally found in tier 16 maps. These maps is available right in the center of one's Atlas. There are four maps, and four different Guardians within them. Each of them provide an entirely different list of moves, causing all of them will absolutely destroy you should you’re not prepared. Engineering Eternity incorporates a great guide for each and every boss, with his fantastic Guardians guide can be obtained here.

Let’s focus on the easiest one: Hydra. She is an archer that will keep you on your own toes. She includes a barrage style move that powers up before releasing, and yes it kills nearly anyone should they all connect. She has an incredibly powerful arrow, and this is denoted using a power up. It does around 5,000 damage, and is particularly nothing to scoff at. While you’re dodging those moves and attacking her, the vicinity is also constantly spawning Frostbolts that you should dodge. All that said, this is the best guardian fight, because all of the strong moves are telegraphed. You can find this short guide here.

Chimera isn’t too difficult either, in the event you understand his mechanics. He just uses a long time to battle, and carries a lot of phases. For the most part he’ll just hit you hard, and a lot of his attacks don’t do an excessive amount of damage. When you get him to 75%, 50%, and 25%, he’ll disappear plus you've got to deal with small mobs for quite a while. The only attack he's got that’s truly frightening is his smoke cloud. He’ll disappear along with to run into each smoke cloud until he hits you together with then reappears. Other than that, he’s a cinch. You can find a shorter guide here.

Phoenix is among the most simplistic with the bunch, and also very lethal. He has another panic attack that whirls forwards you must dodge, or else you become a pancake. He even offers an insanely strong fire explosion that they charges up for before releasing, so prevent that. His only other interesting mechanic is that she spawns phoenixes across the room. You’ll probably want to them all at some time. You can find this short guide here.

Minotaur could be the last with the guardians. He isn’t necessarily the toughest, but he does require most gear. Every other guardian carries a lot of stuff to dodge or play, although not Minotaur. His strongest attack is usually a burrow. If you get much away from him he’ll go underground and burrow in your direction. It will kill nearly anyone it hits. As a result, the best longterm option will be basically just waiting in front of him and taking his attacks.
