Madden NFL 18 Update 1.10 Out Now, View the Patch Notes

Madden 18 update 1.10 is actually available to download. It earns a number of gameplay updates, and addresses several issues. For example, it fixes “a problem causing QBs together with the Gunslinger Ability to throw touch passes rather then bullet passes.” There are several Ultimate Team tweaks, so players will need to read the full changelog.

Gameplay Updates

Added logic so the Weak Box exploit manager will not trigger vs. AI-controlled opponents (penalty ends in frequent pancake blocks because of the offense)
Addressed a problem causing QBs together with the Gunslinger Ability to throw touch passes as an alternative to bullet passes
Addressed a problem that would occasionally prevent ball carriers from being tackled directly using a broken tackle animation
Addressed a challenge causing defenders to occasionally give up the play during some broken tackle animations
Addressed the jumping sideline catch animation that may often force players to land outside of bounds
Added a fix to disable the 10-second runoff in the event the team that may be winning uses a penalty with under a minute left within the half or game
Added fixes to aggressive pass rush that can help ensure defenders have a chance to jump offsides whatever formation the defense arrives in (including Nickel 3-3-5)

Developer Note: The Weak Box exploit manager was introduced in 2010 to encourage players to improve match the offensive personnel about the field when attemping to defend the run, especially heavy run sets with eight or maybe more run blockers from the tackle box. Due to a great deal of valuable feedback from players, we discovered the AI might get hit from this inadvertently that has been never the intent on the exploit manager. The new logic can prevent it from occurring when playing AI opponents advancing.

Dev Note: After speaking with all the competitors in Madden Ultimate League, the off the shelf season and early playoff rounds will probably be played for the previous title update (TU9), so that you can provide sufficient and equal practice opportunities. The competition makes use of the current title update (TU10) with the Madden Bowl.
