Low-Gravity In Fortnite Summer Skirmish Grand Finals

Low-Gravity In Fortnite Summer Skirmish Grand Finals

Today is the grand finals of the Fortnite Summer Skirmish, where 100 players are battling it with a total prize of $1.5 million, with first place getting $225,000. During the event, players experienced a low-gravity, where players were just flying in the air, not being able to get back down to the ground, taking all the players in the zone by surprise.

It seems like this was a glitch but it could have been intentional either way, it definitely put an interesting spin on the match which sparked reactions from competitors and members of the community.

Epic working with Nintendo to address Fortnite performance issues with next update

Epic working with Nintendo to address Fortnite performance issues with next update

The Switch version of Fortnite has been experiencing some problems as of late. Epic has specifically acknowledged “issues with models and environment not rendering properly, as well as an increase in hitches that have apparently gotten worse with each update.”

After looking into the situation, Epic detected “an issue with loading performance degrading over subsequent patches.” The developer is now working with Nintendo to improve performance, which is targeted for version 5.40.

Here’s the full explanation from Epic:

Description
Switch players are reporting issues with models and environment not rendering properly, as well as an increase in hitches that have apparently gotten worse with each update. We’re investigating what the root cause for this is and will provide updates once we have more information.

Update: We’ve found an issue with with loading performance degrading over subsequent patches. We’re working with Nintendo on a fix for the root cause of this, targeting the 5.40 release. Internal test results look positive and we’re hopeful that this will improve the situation significantly.

Work Around
Installing to an SD card makes a significant difference to building load times. If you’re seeing issues with buildings or skins not loading quickly, we recommend you install the game to system storage rather than an SD card as a workaround. To do this, archive the game and re-download it with the SD card removed.

Fortnite's Samsung Exclusive Galaxy Skin Looks Great On Gameplay

Fortnite's Samsung Exclusive Galaxy Skin Looks Great On Gameplay

A new video featuring Fornite's Galaxy skin exclusive to  Samsung Note 9 and Tab S4  was recently featured by Gamespot and it looks great. Fortnite's Galaxy skin looks like a cross between Marvel's all-powerful character Eternity and the Metal Gear Solid's fast and precise character Revolver Ocelot which from the looks of it is the perfect character to represent Samsung's upcoming device.

The skin is also tagged as one of the rarest and most expensive in-game items in the game due to its exclusivity, but not for long. As the saying goes "life always finds a way." well, so does the gaming community who cleverly found a way to get the exclusive skin without shelling a hefty load of dough (see process below).

*Method Used To Get The Galaxy skin

  • Gamers enter a retail shop that has a Galaxy Note 9 or Galaxy Tab S4 on display.
  • They install Fortnite on the demo unit and log-in with their credentials.
  • They play through three games on the device and then log out.
  • In 24 to 48 hours, their account (now logged-in on their personal device) receives the Samsung Fortnite Galaxy skin

*(the method shown above is for information purposes only and is not in any way published to promote such method)

All in all, the Android version of Fortnite together with the not-so-exclusive skin runs smoothly on Samsung's upcoming device. This can be considered as an alternative platform but not a substitute to Nintendo Switch. Check out the gameplay below for more information and stay tuned for more gaming news and updates.

Fortnite Cube: Is THIS When The Cube Will Turn On? Battle Royale Latest News

Fortnite Cube: Is THIS When The Cube Will Turn On? Battle Royale Latest News

Fortnite Battle Royale comes to Android phones and tablets

is the event that has that has sparked plenty of mystery in Battle Royale.

The Fortnite cube appeared on the Battle Royale map on Friday, August 24 in the spot that lightning had been hitting in Paradise Palms.

Since then the mysterious purple cube has been on the move in  with the cube moving every one hour and 43 minutes.

The Fortnite cube is taking its time reaching its mysterious destination, with the cube only taking one step at each movement interval.

It’s been rumoured that the Fortnite cube could be heading to Loot Lake and once it activates it’s expected to signal some big map changes.

Fortnite Battle Royale players, however, are none the wiser as to when the Fortnite cube will finally stop moving and turn on.

However, pooling together a number of sources might given an indication as to when the Fortnite cube will turn on.

On Wednesday the Fortnite cube broke new ground and did something for the first time since appearing.

Fortnite cube - Is this when the Fortnite cube will turn on and activate? (Image: EPIC GAMES)

The Fortnite cube on that day after taking a step left a mysterious purple rune burned into the ground.

The Fortnite Battle Royale Leaks Twitter account said this will happen six more times before the Fortnite cube finally activates - possibly by a lake.

In a post online they revealed: “The cube left a rune burned into the ground as it moved!

“According to this picture, it'll move 6 more times and leave 6 more runes burned in the ground before reaching a lake and then activating”.

So far the Fortnite cube has been moving like clockwork, with it taking a step every one hour and 43 minutes.

It took five days since the Fortnite cube first appeared for it to take a step and then leave behind its first rune.

If the Fortnite cube continues moving at the same speed, and leaving behind a rune at the same rate, then calculations may show when it will activate.

Using that hypothesis, it would mean the Fortnite cube would next take a step and leave behind a rune (its second out of seven) on Monday, September 3.

Fortnite cube - The Fortnite cube appeared in the spot lightning was hitting (Image: EPIC GAMES)

And then the seventh and final rune would be left behind on Friday, September 28.

This would be a full five weeks after the Fortnite cube first appeared.

It remains to be seen whether the Fortnite cube immediately activates after leaving behind the seventh and final rune.

Alternatively, after leaving behind that final rune, it could move for another five days before at last activating.

If that is the case, then the Fortnite cube would activate at the latest on Wednesday, October 3.

This is an important date for one big reason.

Throughout Fortnite season 5, there has been a countdown running showing how much time is left in the current Battle Pass.

At first, the timer showed that Fortnite season 5 would end on Monday, September 17, but this was later changed to Monday, September 24.

Fortnite cube - The Fortnite cube has been moving every one hour and 43 minutes (Image: EPIC GAMES)

However, it has now been rumoured that the Fortnite season 6 release date has been pushed back even further.

The Fortnite Battle Royale Leaks Twitter has claimed that the Fortnite season 5 end date could get delayed until Tuesday, October 2.

With past Fortnite season crossovers, the new Battle Pass has begun the day the previous one finished.

So, that means that Fortnite season 6 could launch on Wednesday, October 3 - the same date estimates show the cube could activate on.

If this is the case, then that would be the perfect way for Epic Games to build up anticipation for the brand new season of Fortnite.

The Fortnite cube is rumoured to activate by Loot Lake and bring with it huge map changes.

Before the cube went live the Fortnite Leakage Twitter account discovered proof of the mysterious event.

On Thursday, August 23 they posted: “BIG EVENT! Some weird event called "Cube" will occur.

“There's some REALLY weird sounds (which I'll post soon) and some other stuff relating to "Crack Lightning".

“It's probably gonna move around the map like a rocket v2 of sorts. Oh yeah, and it's also linked with new map changes!”

One upcoming rumoured map change is the addition of a new Crazy Castle point of interest which was allegedly leaked in a recent Fortnite promo.

Some Tips and Tricks To Get better at Fortnite

Some Tips and Tricks To Get better at Fortnite

For anyone who is new for the game and wishes to go up the ladder then listed here are Fortnite Ideas and Tricks to help you attain the top rated. Battle Royale games can be a new genre of gaming, it has an enormous and an active user-base that enjoys playing on the web games day-to-day. The number of active players is increasing every single day along with the Fortnite is actually a vivid instance. But with the ever-increasing player count, the competition to attain the prime also becomes challenging. Now MMOAH shares with you Some Tips and Tricks To Get better at Fortnite. MMOAH as a professional Fortnite Items website supplies protected, rapidly and low-cost Fortnite Weapons for you personally. With more than ten years of excellence, we’ve served thousands of clients. When you are hesitating where to buy Fortntite Materials, MMOAH will be an excellent choice.

#1 Relating to the Pump vs. Tactical shotgun debate:

  • If you are new or have the negative aim in general, take the Tactical Shotgun.
  • When you have reliably very good aim, take the Pump Shotgun.
  • Heavy shotgun vs. Double-barrel is up to preference.

#2 If you want to “land faster,” it’s essential to deploy over low-terrain.

  • Usually do not deploy more than mountains along with other higher terrain, as this will bring about you to release your glider early, and you will invest additional glide time inside the air through your enemies are currently landing.

#3 Should you be inside a property and hear an enemy’s footsteps above you, do not panic.

  • The simple, strategic play will be to safe 20 materials for two ramps, break out from the home, and make use of the 2 ramps to have the roof of one’s home ASAP for height advantage and vision control.

#4 With an Assault Rifle (AR), you ought to be Tap-Firing with rapid, controlled bursts in 80% of scenarios to lessen random bullet spread (“bloom”) and strengthen accuracy.

  • Only Spray and Pray with an AR in close quarters combat or when spamming down an enemy’s buildings.

#5 Invest a maximum of 5-10 seconds looting a dead opponent.

  • Any longer and you threat getting jumped by a brand new enemy opponent while you are distracted, or you could fall behind inside the Storm.

#6 You’ll NOT drastically strengthen hiding inside a bush, or blindly dropping and dying in Tilted Towers.

  • Self-improvement takes place in the mid-to-late game, where players should rely on excellent aim, building expertise, and decision-making to win fights and survive.
  • New players need to prioritize winning 1v1s within the mid-to-late game to develop these skills.

In the event you die, rather than saying “Oh, had a poor and unlucky get started at Tilted - no gun,” you are able to start off asking yourself concerns.

  • “Did I get out-built?”
  • “Did I get out-gunned?”

Watch your replays of those moments - receiving steamrolled is really an important lesson, and will teach you what you are able to do against other players.

#7 Crouching while firing will drastically enhance accuracy by reducing random bullet spread (“bloom”).

#8 If you’re a new Console player: use Builder Pro now.

#9 If you are a brand new Computer player: do not use the typical F1-F4 keybinds for your buildings. They are terrible.

Try different keybinds from close friends or experienced players and find out what exactly is most comfy for you personally.

For reference, I use:

- Q for Walls
- E for Ramps (changed “Use” to F)
- C for Platforms
- In addition to a mouse button for Pyramids

#10 Ahead of you shoot at an enemy, put a Ramp and Wall in front of you for cover initial, regardless if they see you or not.

  • If they turn and fire back, you should win with your benefit of already getting cover and them becoming vulnerable inside the open.
  • If they commence to defensively develop, you ought to have a health advantage because you were able to hit 1-3 shots on the initial.
  • If you die, then you definitely faced a far better player.
  • Watch the replay, find out from them, strengthen, and execute against other players in the subsequent game.
  • Basically - get into a great habit of building cover just before fights.

#12 When you ought to heal just after winning a gunfight, often make a structure around you initially to prevent simple snipes/shots at you.

Odds are an enemy heard the gunfire and is producing their way towards you

#13 It is possible to rearrange your load-out (drop & share ammo/materials, drag & drop guns, etc) while using Medkits/Shield potions/Chugs, etc.

Why ‘Fortnite’s Steady Storm Mode Should Return

Why ‘Fortnite’s Steady Storm Mode Should Return

The problem with Fortnite’s limited time modes is that they only last a limited time. Sometimes that timeframe is so short that if you don’t act quickly, you can miss out altogether. Such was the case with the Steady Storm mode.

The Steady Storm mode was introduced in Patch 5.2 on August 7, 2018, and was gone in less than two weeks. There have been 14 limited time modes in Fortnite to date, and Steady Storm was one of the good ones. It proved that only a slight adjustment, if well thought-out, can dramatically change the way we play.

The Steady Storm limited time mode retains all the systems and features of your standard Battle Royale game, except for one major difference. The storm never stops charging inwards. In the standard mode, the storm’s encroachments are staggered. It gives players time to think about their movements, scavenge for resources, build, and even fight in relative safety from the storm’s devastating damage.

Steady Storm mode took away that safety blanket altogether. Over the course of 15 minutes, it constantly closed in, herding players like sheep for the eye. And to up the ante, the damage is dealt out from the start at 10 points per second. Usually, the storm builds up to that kind of damage power, not reaching it until its sixth phase.

The Steady Storm limited time mode was fun, and in the end simply wasn’t around long enough. So why should Epic Games bring Steady Storm back?

6 REASONS WE LOVED STEADY STORM MODE

  1. Steady Storm mode ramped up the importance of Rifts. Rifts were one of the big new arrivals in Season 5. By entering a Rift you – and anything you happen to be holding or driving – are warped up high above the island. This gives you a second opportunity to glide back to the turf, this time fully armed. Obviously, a Rift was a great way to get out of the storm’s path if you got caught near its front. But they also became a tactical advantage. With the knowledge of a Rift location in your back pocket, you could spend more time looting and gathering resources. Plus you could lay in wait, hoping to catch other players unaware as they run for their lives. A luxury not afforded unless you could relax in the knowledge of a nearby Rift that could jettison you out of there.
  2. The All-Terrain Karts (ATKs) also came into their own in Steady Storm mode. Another new (and welcome) feature of Season 5, the ATKs can hold an entire squad of four as it zips across the island. Similar to the Rifts, the ATK is a great way to get out of the storm’s path. However, its added importance meant they attracted greater attention from players. You were less likely to be able to drive past a rival squad on an ATK and be left alone, for example. As a result, you needed to be able to defend yourself a lot better from the ATK, putting more emphasis on mastering jumping, building, and switching seats while motoring along.
  3. Combat, in particular, short-range combat, became a lot more prevalent in Steady Storm mode. In the base model, avoiding combat altogether in the early period is a good strategy. And for those who do want to fight, long-range weapons provide the most amount of security. However, the constantly closing storm in Steady Storm mode meant players were in a sprint for safety from the start. This not only concentrated the playing group towards one area a lot faster but greatly upped the odds of bumping into someone unexpectedly. This lead to more close-quarters combat and slots filled with weapons suiting that style of play.
  4. There’s nothing quite as rewarding as killing an opponent with a trap, and they became a far handier addition to your inventory in Steady Storm mode. There’s just so much more player movement and that movement was far less cagey. Traps set around blind corners, near loot, inside doorways, and in other positions that typically would not be triggered due to their predictability suddenly worked a treat.
  5. Steady Storm mode changed the way you think about loot. We mentioned before the emphasis it placed on short-range weapons, but it also asked you to have a lot more slots filled with health and shield buffs. If you got caught behind that storm front, you were going to take damage at a blisteringly fast rate. In addition, it also changed the way you went about resources. Well-worn early game strategies that you love to employ often went out the window. Your favourite loot-filled location may have been too far away from where you thought the storm’s eye would be. And as you run for safety, you may have had to stay in a straight line and not detour towards likely loot locations or plentiful resources.
  6. Finally, if you are not much of a builder, then Steady Storm mode forces you to improve quickly. There was often not enough time to get around any major environmental obstacles, requiring you to build your way up and over them without slowing down. You also needed to be more efficient in guild battles, as you had to be thriftier with your resources. There simply wasn’t as much time to restock.

There’s no word yet on whether Epic Games will bring back Steady Storm mode in an upcoming patch or not. But if the developer does, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Be wary of the purple haze

Fortnite’s Shockwave Grenade May Kill Off Impulse Grenades

Fortnite’s Shockwave Grenade May Kill Off Impulse Grenades

Epic Games have just pushed out a new content update for Fortnite season 5 that introduces a fresh item into the dubbing mix. Fortnite v3.50 brings with it the Shockwave Grenade, which is basically all of the goodness of the Impulse Grenade without the unfortunate side-effects.

Ultimately the rare version of Impact Grenades, Shockwave Grenades are available only in Epic rarity and you can stock up to six of them; they drop in stacks of two. They spawn almost everywhere apart from the floor, so they’re hardly going to be difficult to find.

Compared to the Impact, the Shockwave has a distinct advantage: you cannot take fall damage unless you are propelled into the ocean surrounded the game’s map. Like a strange hybrid of Bounce Pads and the Impulse, the Shockwave will launch you (and other players) in a direction at quick speed, meaning that you can vault up builds in no time at all. However, you are also transformed into something of a battering ram with Shockwave's players also able to destroy enemy builds.

This new item makes the Impulse seem rather underwhelming by comparison, which was already difficult to recommend having in your inventory over other items. There’s a skill ceiling with them that can lead to huge fall damage if you’re not precise or calculated enough, though it does have a distinct advantage over the Shockwave in that it does not protect against fall damage for your opponents at all. If it’s a 1v1 on top of a mountain, the Impulse might be the better pick.

Solid Gold also makes a welcome return in v3.50, which may be a reprieve from anyone sick to death of the current SMG meta. The Compact SMG is the only SMG currently available as a Legendary item and is easy to counter thanks to huge nerfs, so it may be an LTM worth spending some time in.

For all the details, be sure to check out Epic’s official blog.
