The Gauntlet was designed by the elves to train their mightiest warriors during the God wars, in which you must cherish every second to collect the materials you need to make preparations for the final fight. During the challenges, once you kill the boss, you can get the crystal armour or other equipment as rewards.

When facing Zalcano, you can also improve your Smithing and Runecraft skills, once you defeat her, you can get some skilling resources as rewards like Crystal tool seeds, which can be used to make Crystal picks, axes and harpoons.
