Bethesda Restricts Visitors In Private Worlds Via Update 16 Of Fallout 76

Bethesda mentioned the upcoming Update 16 of Fallout 76 in a recent post, introducing the final patch of the year, a Free Trial Weekend, Double XP event as well as festive-themed events.

Update 16 is set to release on Tuesday, December 10, and the Forest is returning alongside Morgantown at the request of Overseer Candidates, the players are allowed to vote for the map of choice at the start of each new match, and the map that received the most votes will be selected for that match.

As for the update Private Worlds released some time ago, Bethesda finally made adjustments and fixes. Players once complained that playing in Private Worlds did not work as expected, because the Private Worlds is not private, which was visible and accessible by anyone on the subscriber's friends list.

Bethesda claims to completely solve the problem in Update 16 through adding a button to the Play Menu in Fallout 76, which lets the players toggle between "Team Only" or "All Friends" in order to restrict who can enter your private worlds, not all friends. This approach is worth promoting, but we don't know if it will work well until now.

In order to celebrate the approaching festival, Bethesda added a Holiday Scorched Event in Fallout 76 running from December 12 to December 26. everyone can hunt the Scorched dressed in festival attire for a Holiday Gift, they are low, medium, or high-quality, such as a lump of coal or rare plans and recipes.

Starting from December 12, there is a free trial event in Fallout 76 to let everyone play Fallout 76 for free until December 16. And during the period, you are able to score double XP and obtain holiday-themed loot throughout the new Double XP event.

Moreover, two festival-related events will also run in December. The first is the comeback of Halloween event in Update 16 from December 11 to December 16, you still have the opportunity to get rewards by completing the challenges, and your previous game records and rewards are still retained.

The second is to celebrate the upcoming Christmas, you can still greeting the New Year by six challenges to obtain Christmas-themed cosmetic rewards from December 17, and it won't stop until January 6.
